The International Monetary Fund has improved Brazil’s growth outlook for 2021, citing its improved terms of trade while lowering its high estimate for 2022.

The IMF’s World Economic Outlook report released showed the fund now sees Brazil’s gross domestic product growing 5.3 percent in 2021, 1.6 percentage points higher than its April estimate.For 2022 the growth forecast was reduced by 0.7 points to 1.9%.
